Praise the Lord!  What a great time of revival we had at Gulf Coast Baptist Church in Fort Walton Beach, FL!  Dr. M.H. Tabb is the Pastor of Gulf Coast Baptist Church as well as the President of Gulf Coast Bible College as well.  This is where Bro. Jabo acquired his education from.  When it was brought to our attention that a week long revival was planned we decided to initiate a church trip and make it available to all of the men at FWBT.  We praise the Lord for the nine men who were able to attend this event.  We were able to reserve a couple of rooms on the beach in Ft. Walton for the event thru Priceline.  This was a great time of fellowship between the brethren as well as an opportunity to draw closer to our Lord and Saviour.

We praise the Lord that Bro. Edward was able to attend.  You see, Bro. Edward had never been to the beach ever in his lifetime.  We were able to take Bro. Edward to the beach for the first time.  This was such a blessing for everyone involved.  You can see a picture of him above of the first time he ever set foot on the beach.

Gulf Coast Baptist Church provided us with three meals per day and they were AWESOME!  Those women at GCBC can really cook.  No one went hungry for the entirety of the trip.   We were graced with two sermons in the morning service and two sermons in the night service each day.  We arrived on Wednesday afternoon and we were able to partake of ten sermon messages.  Boy did we get preached to.  We heard great messages on subjects such as being a servant, faith, being a clean man, the days in which we live and many more.  We ordered copies of the audio portions of the services and will be posting those on line as soon as Bro. Jabo receives them thru the mail.  Dr. Tabb and his people were very kind, gracious and accepting to all the members of FWBT.   We could not have asked for a warmer reception.

We were able to find out things about each other that we never knew before as well.  Many men opened up to each other on the trip and we were able to just lean on each other and share burdens with our brethren.  We also adopted a slogan that says, "What's said on the bus, stays on the bus".  AMEN!  We were able to discuss things with each other that only brothers in Christ can discuss.  I praise the Lord that we have many Godly men at FWBT that love the Lord and love doing something for Him.  We have decided to make this revival meeting a yearly event for our church.  I can't wait until next year!

Bro. Ken served as our chaufer for the entire trip.  Bro. Ken drove the entire way down and back.  Thank you so much Bro. Ken.  We appreciate your willingness to serve others in the church.  We had many hilarious things happen on the trip as well.  Bro. Paul decided to brush his teeth with Bro. Jabo's toothbrush.  Needless to say, the toothbrush became the permanent possesion of Bro. Paul.  Ha ha!  Bro. Edward kept us doubled over laughing all the way down.  We never knew he could be so funny once we got him away from Sister Faye.  Dr. Tabb asked Bro. Jabo to sing and Bro. Jabo was doing a great job until he realized that he was singing the words to one song and the piano player was playing another.  Ha ha!  They finally got it figured out and all turned out well.  We also realized it is not efficient to pack 5 men into one motel room.  It just doesn't work very well.  Bro. Ken and Bro. Robby actually booked another room.  We found that mixing snoring individuals with non-snoring individuals is a bad combination.

We were all very proud of Bro. Chris and Bro. Ron who both stopped smoking for the entire trip.  Bro. Chris chewed thru about 200 straws but neither one of them smoked for the entire duration of the trip.  We appreciate these two men and their willingness to try to "kick" this addictive habit for the Lord.

Unfortunately it was way too cold to do anything during our break between services.  Believe it or not, they were actually predicting snow in Florida on Friday night although it didn't get cold enough and was simply reduced to a cold rain.  Snow in Florida.  I wonder what Al Gore thinks about global warming now.  HA HA!

Thank you for everyone who made this trip possible for our members and hopefully next year we will have 20 attend.  AMEN!
